Cardiologist Network
The cardiologist network is a peer sharing network for cardiologists that features brief clinical cases, asks your input and shows respondent results graphically across multiple data slices that illustrates variation in clinical practice and displays commentary from you and your peers. Delivered via smartphone or web browser, cases should take < 1 minute to read and respond.
Real-time results will be displayed via visual charts showing overall results and sliced by institution, geography, respondent age, etc; users can toggle between views and comments. Case results will be designed for maximum professional interest by highlighting gray-zone clinical scenarios to surface variations in practice among participants. Updates to treatment guidelines, the latest literature, and information for new drugs and new indications for existing meds will also be provided.
Cases will illustrate, for example, how cardiologists at Hopkins, Columbia, Toronto, MGH, Scripps etc. use anti-platelet testing to guide DAPT in STEMI patients; or how different institutions manage clots in implantable LVADs; or how they think about quinidine for BrS or J-wave syndrome – See illustrative example below.
Cardiology cases will be classified and presented across 9 cardiology 'zones' (see chart). Membership in the portal will be strictly limited to cardiologists, and zone sign-ups will be specified at registration and updated anytime.
